Simply because it’s constantly re-circulating in our homes and particularly if you’re under construction or have a woodworker under your roof. Follow these tips that will make the cleaning of your home last more than a week and best of all, a cleaning without harmful chemicals.

Household dust can make our house look dirty and old, and not only is it an aesthetic problem, but it can also become a risk to our health as it can cause allergic reactions and respiratory problems. Although not all people have these health concerns, in the long term dust bunnies (such as those found under our beds) can affect our respiratory system by weakening it and leaving sequels in our lungs.

The truth is that no matter how hard we try, it is impossible to prevent it from accumulating in the different spaces of our house since it can enter by any opening, mostly through windows, doors, and shoes. It is necessary to clean it continuously to avoid affecting our health.

Cleaning the dust often and in areas of the house is the key to keeping mites out of the way. Are you ready? Take out your notebook and take note of these tips to keep the surfaces of your house dust free.

Shoes are one of the biggest carriers of dust, whenever you return home shake them out and remove them to enter to avoid walking with them inside your house.

To clean surfaces of furniture and appliances, you can use a microfiber cloth and moisten it with a solution of equal parts of white vinegar and water, it will serve to remove dry and sticky spots, plus one of the best alternatives to eliminate the dust and remove pathogens.

Use microfiber cloth gloves to dust off items such as lamps, glassware and other delicate items that we use to decorate our home. Dust adheres easier to gloves than to a normal cleaning towel.

Use a microfiber duster on a long extension pole (or tie a microfiber cloth to the broomstick) and use it to remove dust and hair that accumulates under wooden furniture, the refrigerator, and other appliances. The same tip applies to remove cobwebs and dust accumulated on the edge of ceiling fans up above.

Change your AC filters throughout the house to collect microparticles so that they don’t recirculate (or overwork your unit!). You’ll be surprised at all the dust that accumulates during this season.

Use your vacuum on heavily soiled blinds and AC vents. The attachment brushes are great for this task.

Reuse brushes! The toothbrushes that you no longer use are very good tools to remove dust in tight spaces such as windows and furniture corners.

Thinking of getting a bot? This season you can shop around for a robot vacuum that can keep up with the floor in between cleanings too. Make sure to get one that has two “sweeper” devices at the front to collect better any debris.

Tell us about which technique or cleaning area of the house you want to learn more, leave us your comments and do not forget to share this article on your social networks to help more people.

Subscribe to our blog, you will always find natural cleaning tips, and other tips that will help you in the routines of your daily life.

Stop complicating yourself with the housework, try our professional ecological cleaning service, you will love it.

Photo by Gades Photography on Unsplash.
