Starting today we want to share with all of you home cleaning tips to let your home be super shiny!
At Gmaids, our certified cleaning technicians are consistent, reliable, and professional at all times. We use only non-toxic and non-allergenic cleaning products and methods. Our teams divide the area to be cleaned into two phases: prep and purify the area to be clean. Here are 10 tips for cleaning the bathroom:
- Decluttering: cleaning up the mess by picking up clothes or towels that are blocking the surfaces that you are going to clean.
- Take out the trash: take out the garbage bag and tie it with a strong knot without pressing it against your body.
- Pre-Treat the tub or shower: apply a soap scum cleaner in the tub or shower and let the product rest so that it dissolves soap residues and mineral deposits. If your tub is made of marble or stone, only use an abrasive powder to scrub (BonAmi), because the acidity of the soap remover eats away at the finish of the stones.
- Dust: first clean the dust that is higher, particularly the corners, always has an accumulation of dust from the air conditioning and cobwebs. Continue with low dust, you can vacuum or clean by hand with a damp microfiber.
- Vacuum: vacuum as much as possible rugs, closets, the floor, and the corners of the broom guards.
- Scrub the shower and tub: it’s time to scrub the shower and/or tub, apply a multipurpose cleaner in a sponge and scrub the walls and faucet of the shower.
- Toilet: clean the toilet first from the inside and then from the outside. Spray the residue remover inside the toilet, also apply it to the base, seat, lid, and hinges to inhibit the growth of mold or mildew. Lower the seat and cover the toilet bowl before flushing the cistern to avoid thousands of tiny aerosol droplets produced, which can contain bacteria and viruses and contaminate surfaces up to six feet away, do not splatter.
- Mirror: Wipe the mirror from top to bottom with a microfiber cloth.
- Sink and its furniture: spray multipurpose cleaner and with a sponge, scrub all the ceramic of the sink on the inside, on the outside all the surface and the taps. Use a bathroom detailing brush to remove any dirt that the sponge can’t reach. Then rinse well and dry with a microfiber cloth. Finally, clean the sink cabinet, detailing the handles.
- Mop: Now, continue with the floor, use microfiber on a flat mop to cover a fairly wide surface with very practical movements, and make sure that no hair or residue remains on the floor.
