Seasonal activities in Dallas for all the family!

Part of the magic of this season is the gathering with your loved ones to celebrate Christmas and New Year and sharing home-baked food, music, some presents and enjoy the city activities. From funny and special photos at Snowday to fireworks show at the Dallas City Hall on New Year’s Eve.

Holiday at the Arboretum

From November 9 to December 31 The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents The 12 Days of Christmas an outdoor exhibit with 25-foot-tall Victorian-style gazebos depicting scenes from the traditional carol. Each gazebo is encased in glass and extravagantly decorated on all sides to provide a dramatic, three-dimensional experience that adds to the “music box” quality. The 12 Days of Christmas at Night, enjoy more than 500,000 lights throughout the Arboretum, trimming the historic homes and featuring a 30-foot-tall spruce tree at the center of the gardens.

Dallas Zoo Lights

Join Dallas Zoo and enjoy the lights from December 13 to January 5. The zoo will transform into a winter wonderland with over one million twinkling lights illuminating ZooNorth throughout the holiday season. Discover realistic silk-covered lanterns in the shape of your favorite animals, plus even more light displays and festivities for the entire family! These are some of the Dallas Zoo Lights activities you can enjoy: Holiday Light Show, Santa meet-and-greet, Nature ornament-making activity, Nightly musical performances throughout ZooNorth, among others. SNOWDAY, an Immersive Holiday Photo Experience

From November 21 to January 5, guests will navigate their way through an imaginative wonderland of festive photo ops, enchanted rooms, interactive spaces, and nostalgic moments. There will be photo booths integrated throughout the exhibit and possible encounters with Santa or one of his elves. Guests can then instantly share their photos from multiple kiosks and enjoy several printing options once they have entered the gift shop at the end of the exhibit. Dallas Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert

NorthPark Center presents on Wednesday, December 18 at 7:00 pm, a Symphony Orchestra Concert to celebrate the season. Expect all of your holiday favorites and special sing-alongs for the whole family. This free concert takes place in NorthCourt, on Level One between Nordstrom and Macy’s. NYE in Dallas: Party on the Plaza

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at the Dallas City Hall from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., admission is free! Join hosts Ron Corning and Yolonda Williams for Party on the Plaza, ring in the new decade with a big bang at Dallas’s illuminating NYE fireworks show – Party on the Plaza! Enjoy a night of dazzling lights from every angle around The Reunion Tower while toasting to the cliches of the old year with your friends and family.  Enjoy food trucks, drinks and live entertainment from American Idol favorites Jason and Michael Castro and the Emerald City Elevation Band.
